WhiteBIT Coin

WhiteBIT Coin is the native utility token of the WhiteBIT cryptocurrency exchange and the primary asset of the Whitechain blockchain.

Holders can stake the token to access tiered benefits including trading fee discounts, increased referral rates, and free daily withdrawals. The token employs a deflationary model through regular burning of a portion of exchange-generated fees. WhiteBIT Coin serves as the native gas token for transaction processing and smart contract execution on the Whitechain network.

What Is WhiteBIT Coin

WhiteBIT Coin (WBT) is an exchange-based tokens utility asset designed to integrate the services of the WhiteBIT ecosystem into a unified financial infrastructure. Launched by a major European centralized exchange, the token facilitates value transfer between the trading platform and its native Layer 2 blockchain, Whitechain. The ecosystem emphasizes the mass adoption of blockchain technology by providing tools for spot trading, margin trading, and decentralized identity through the WB Soul system.

The token acts as the central mechanism for rewarding community participation and platform loyalty. By locking WBT in a dedicated holding program, users gain access to a multi-level privilege system that scales with the amount of assets committed. This architecture is designed to align the interests of the exchange, the blockchain network, and the individual token holders as the ecosystem expands its product offerings.

What Makes WhiteBIT Coin Unique

Deflationary Burn Mechanism: The project commits to weekly token burns, utilizing 33% of trading fees and 5% of other exchange revenues to reduce the circulating supply until 50% of the total supply is destroyed. WB Soul Ecosystem: A unique identity system on Whitechain that allows users to create digital representations of their identities, enabling participation in specific ecosystem activities and potential future governance. Tiered Privilege Infrastructure: Unlike many exchange tokens that offer flat discounts, WBT provides a granular 12-level system affecting everything from Maker fees to the number of free Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks. Hybrid Network Utility: WBT functions simultaneously as a centralized exchange loyalty token and a decentralized network gas asset, bridging the gap between centralized and decentralized environments.

What Can You Use WhiteBIT Coin for?

Trading Fee Reductions: Users who hold WBT on the platform can receive up to a 100% discount on Maker fees depending on their holding level. Staking and Yield: Through the exchange's holding program, users can lock their tokens to earn passive benefits and increased interest rates on other digital assets through crypto lending programs. Network Transaction Fees: As the native coin of Whitechain, WBT is used to pay for gas fees required to process transactions and execute smart contracts on the blockchain. Launchpad Access: Holding WBT is a primary requirement for participating in the WhiteBIT Launchpad, which provides early access to new blockchain projects. Ecosystem Services: The token facilitates free daily ERC-20 and ETH withdrawals, as well as complimentary AML checks for platform users.

How Does WhiteBIT Coin Work?

WhiteBIT Coin operates as a multi-chain asset, existing as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum and a TRC-20 token on the Tron network, while also serving as the native gas token of Whitechain. Whitechain is an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible network that is moving from a Proof of Authority Layer 1 to a Layer 2 built on the OP Stack. The legacy L1, operated by WhiteBIT under a single-validator Proof of Authority model, is live and producing blocks today, while the L2 is live on testnet as Whitechain Sepolia (chain ID 1874). At L2 Mainnet launch the full L1 state becomes the L2 genesis, so balances and contracts carry over at the same addresses. As an OP Stack L2, Whitechain settles on Ethereum through blob data availability, produces blocks every second, and inherits Ethereum's security guarantees instead of carrying its own.

Native WBT on Whitechain is issued through direct WhiteBIT deposits and withdrawals and through the Portal, Whitechain's centralized bridge, which moves WBT between Ethereum, Tron, and Whitechain. Native WBT does not pass through the OP Stack canonical bridge, because Whitechain runs in custom gas token mode; that bridge carries ERC-20 tokens only. The total supply remains capped at 400 million tokens across all supported chains. The network also supports the deployment of decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts, with WBT serving as the gas required to power these operations.

Team Info and Investors

WhiteBIT Coin was developed and launched by the WhiteBIT exchange, a centralized cryptocurrency trading platform established in 2018. One of the largest centralized exchanges in Europe, it serves more than 10 million active users. While the project does not publicly list individual venture capital investors in its primary documentation, it is backed by the operational revenue and infrastructure of the WhiteBIT exchange entity. Block production is currently centralized: WhiteBIT operates the legacy L1 validator and, at L2 launch, the single OP Stack sequencer. On the L2, all transaction data is published to Ethereum, and the OP Stack gives Whitechain a path toward decentralized sequencing.
